The Rhineland-based company has paved the way for the acquisition of the renowned Swiss bicycle trailer brand Leggero. Qeridoo founder and owner Nikolai Boldt came into contact with Leggero early on – back when Qeridoo was still in its infancy and he was selling Leggero products, among others, out of his living room. Today, Qeridoo is one of the leading manufacturers of child sport strollers and is proud that Leggero has now become part of the Qeridoo family as part of the expansion strategy. As the oldest bicycle trailer brand in Europe, with over 30 years of experience developing premium child bicycle trailers, Leggero has made an international name for quality, comfort and innovation – exactly the values that fit Qeridoo perfectly.
Since the market launch of the first Leggero bicycle trailer in 1989, the company has continuously set new standards, including with the Becco coupling system, which marked a milestone in product development and lastingly revolutionised the bicycle trailer industry. Leggero has also set trailblazing technological standards: in 2016 the Leggero Enso received the renowned TÜV-GS certificate for verified safety and was thus officially recognized as a “safe bicycle trailer”. Another common ground between the two brands, since in Qeridoo's philosophy too, safety is always the top priority.
“We are convinced that we can now delight our customers with even more high-quality products and innovative solutions around child mobility,” says Nikolai Boldt. “Especially in times marked by uncertainty, it is particularly important to uphold traditions and offer first-class products that can be relied upon.
We therefore very much look forward to an exciting future, enriched with Leggero products!”
