Do Qeridoo bicycle trailers have a reclining function?
The backrest of Qeridoo bicycle trailers cannot be adjusted into a lying position, but at around 125 degrees it sits at a comfortable angle. In an upright position your child sits securely and is well protected at all times by the trailer's aluminum frame.
For babies and toddlers we offer a Baby shell or Hammock in which your child can lie comfortably in the Qeridoo children's bicycle trailer. These can be used until the child can sit up unaided, which is usually the case at an age of about 12 to 14 months or up to a body weight of about 12 or 13 kg respectively.
From what age are children allowed to ride in a Qeridoo bicycle trailer?
With the right baby insert, babies can ride in the Qeridoo bicycle trailer from the fourth week of life. For newborns from the fourth week we recommend the matching Baby shell, and for toddlers up to 13 kg the Hammock.
As a general rule: transporting a child without a baby insert is only safe once it can control and hold its head steadily. Many pediatricians recommend a minimum age of about 6 months for this.
Up to what age can children ride in a Qeridoo bicycle trailer?
Qeridoo children's bicycle trailers are generally suitable up to an age of about 4 to 5 years or 18 to 22 kg body weight (depending on the model). That is considerably longer than most conventional strollers or buggies. Because the trailer grows with the child, it is the more durable investment by direct comparison.
Is the Qeridoo bicycle trailer completely waterproof?
Qeridoo bicycle trailers are not completely waterproof, they are water-repellent. For production reasons it cannot be guaranteed that every opening is sealed watertight. For longer rides in the rain we recommend using a suitable rain cover, available in our accessories catalog. You can also impregnate the fabric of your Qeridoo trailer so that it repels water better.
Should children wear a helmet in a children's bicycle trailer?
Qeridoo expressly recommends that children wear a helmet in the bicycle trailer as soon as they can sit up unaided. Even though there is no legal helmet requirement for children in bicycle trailers, it provides important additional protection for the head in the event of an accident.
Where are Qeridoo bicycle trailers manufactured?
Our development, design and service departments are located at our headquarters in Germany. As for production, like most of our competitors we have our bicycle trailers manufactured in China.
Our aim is to avoid unnecessary costs and to keep prices fair. One of the ways we achieve this is the structural set-up of our production facilities in China, where most components are made in-house "under one roof". This eliminates unnecessary transport routes and the cost of bought-in parts.
