Warranty Conditions
Your Qeridoo is covered by the statutory warranty against the seller — and additionally by a voluntary manufacturer's warranty from Qeridoo. Both apply alongside each other; the manufacturer's warranty does not limit your statutory rights.
The warranty conditions are developed further over time and differ from year to year — for example in warranty period, territorial scope and allocation of costs. The version that applies to your product is always the one that was valid at the time of your purchase. You will find all versions on this page for download. This page describes the general framework only; the binding details are set out exclusively in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
Statutory warranty
For all goods sold in the European Union, a statutory warranty of conformity of at least two years applies. It applies automatically, is free of charge and does not have to be registered.
The statutory warranty is a claim against the seller — that is, against the shop or specialist dealer you bought your Qeridoo from. If you ordered directly from our online shop, we are your point of contact.
When can you invoke it?
Consumers can enforce their rights under the statutory warranty, for example if the goods
- do not match the description,
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at the time the goods were delivered and that becomes apparent within the statutory warranty period.
What can you ask for?
- free repair or free replacement,
- in certain cases a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.
What to do if you have received non-conforming goods?
- Report the problem to the seller as soon as possible.
- Provide proof of purchase, e.g. the receipt, the invoice or a bank statement.
In some countries a longer period applies to the statutory warranty. For second-hand goods a shorter period may apply, but never less than one year. For more information about your rights in a specific country, see europa.eu/youreurope/garantien or ask your seller.

Manufacturer's warranty
In addition to your statutory rights, Qeridoo grants you a voluntary manufacturer's warranty covering material and manufacturing defects on your Qeridoo bicycle trailer, plus an extended warranty on the frame parts. The warranty period starts on the date of purchase.
In a confirmed warranty case we take care of the assessment and, depending on the case, the repair or the replacement.
Warranty period, territorial scope and allocation of costs differ depending on your year of purchase. The details binding for you are set out in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
Scope and eligible persons
The warranty applies to the first end customer who purchased the product new from an authorized Qeridoo dealer. The rights under the warranty agreement are not transferable. The countries in which the warranty applies are set out in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
Proof and safekeeping
Please keep the original invoice and the warranty certificate (warranty card) — these are required as proof of ownership. We also recommend keeping the original packaging in case a return has to be processed.
What is covered?
Within the warranty period, material and manufacturing defects are covered. The precise scope is described in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
What is excluded?
The warranty essentially does not cover:
- wear-related impairments from normal use on typical wear parts such as suspension elements, wheels, wheel bearings, tires, thru axles, the tow bar safety strap and zippers
- damage caused by improper handling, improper use or improper storage and consequential damage such as mold, mildew stains and/or rust
- normal signs of wear and defects due to unintended use or lack of care
- discoloration and fading of covers
The complete and binding list of exclusions is set out in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase — it has changed between the different years.

Data protection
We process your details in order to handle warranty cases in accordance with the GDPR. You will find the details in our privacy policy. The data is used solely for the purpose of assessing and handling a warranty case.
Provision of the warranty service
The warranty service is provided by Qeridoo or by an authorized dealer after approval by Qeridoo. Qeridoo decides after careful assessment which measure is most appropriate within the scope of the warranty.
Transfer and passing of ownership
Transfer to a second owner
If the product is passed on, Qeridoo offers the second owner a goodwill assessment without legal entitlement for manufacturing defects, provided the first owner registered the product. The relevant period is stated in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
Passing of ownership and replacement product
In the event of a replacement, the replaced product becomes the property of Qeridoo. If the product is no longer carried by Qeridoo, a product comparable in type and quality is to be supplied at Qeridoo's discretion. In the event of an exchange, the warranty period does not start again and is not extended.
Costs and procedure
Within the scope of the voluntary manufacturer's warranty we take care of the assessment and, where applicable, the repair or replacement of your product. Qeridoo reserves the right to verify the cause of the defect within the scope of the statutory provisions. Once we have received the product we check whether a warranty case applies and which measure is possible. If it is not a warranty case, we inform you about possible costs in advance.
Who bears the shipping costs in a warranty case has changed between the different years. What applies to you is set out in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
Expiry of the warranty
The warranty expires in the event of independent repair attempts by you or by a third party not approved by Qeridoo, as well as in the event of impermissible modification of the product.

Which warranty conditions apply to my product?
Always the version that was valid at the time of your purchase. The date of purchase on your invoice is decisive. You will find all versions on this page for download.
What is the difference between the statutory warranty and the manufacturer's warranty?
The statutory warranty is required by law and is directed at the seller — in the EU it runs for at least 2 years and covers defects that already existed at the time of delivery. The manufacturer's warranty is a voluntary additional service from Qeridoo covering material and manufacturing defects. Both apply in parallel; the warranty does not limit your statutory rights.
How long is the warranty on my Qeridoo?
The warranty period has changed between the different years. The period valid for you is stated in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase. The warranty starts on the date of purchase.
Who do I contact regarding the statutory warranty?
Always the seller you bought the trailer from. If you ordered directly from our online shop, we are your point of contact. If you bought from a specialist dealer, contact that dealer. Have your proof of purchase ready — receipt, invoice or bank statement.
Do I have to register my bicycle trailer?
Not for the statutory warranty — that applies automatically. For the manufacturer's warranty a free registration is required. You can register your product online at qeridoo.de/go/garantie. The applicable deadline is stated in the warranty conditions for your year of purchase.
How do I report a warranty case?
You can conveniently report a warranty case online at qeridoo.de/go/service. That way we make sure your request is dealt with quickly.
