The baby shell accompanies your baby until they can sit independently and is suitable for a maximum body weight of 12 kg.

During the first few weeks, the removable newborn insert provides extra padding and supports a suitable reclining position for very small babies. Once your baby grows and needs more space, you can easily remove the insert. This lets the baby shell adapt to your child's development.

The combination of a comfortable reclining position and a sturdy shell creates a dedicated, protected space for your baby. The integrated harness system keeps your child securely in the baby shell, while the headrest provides extra support for the sensitive head area.

You stay flexible in family life, too: The baby shell can be used in compatible Qeridoo one-seaters and two-seaters and takes up just one seat. This leaves room for an older sibling in a two-seater. Alternatively, you can use two baby shells at the same time.

Just a quick note

After inserting the baby shell and clipping it into place, tighten the side straps first, followed by the upper straps. This brings the baby shell into the intended reclining position and secures it inside the trailer. Also make sure the belt buckle sits directly behind the crotch pad and does not rest on your baby's belly. This prevents your baby from sliding too far down.
Universal adapters (UA-BH-20) are required for installation in the Speedkid and other Qeridoo bike trailers. Use in bike trailers from other manufacturers is not permitted.
Tip: If you are transporting just one child—whether in the baby shell or on the seat—we recommend positioning them on the right in the direction of travel, opposite the tow bar. This distributes the weight as evenly as possible and supports stability.
The baby shell takes up one seat in your Qeridoo. When used in a two-seater, another child who can already sit independently can ride in the second seat.
