Product description
Safe and comfortable on the go: The Qeridoo Baby shell is the ideal solution for transporting infants in a Qeridoo bike trailer.
Intended use
This product is intended exclusively for use with Qeridoo products. Check compatibility with your Qeridoo beforehand.
Improper use
This product is not a children's toy and must not be used as one. Do not use the product on bicycles that are not suitable for towing trailers.

When using accessories, their weight must be deducted from the payload. The empty weight of the Qeridoo with installed accessories plus the load must not exceed the permissible total weight. Under the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations | applicable in Germany), the maximum total weight for unbraked trailers is 40 kg.
Safety and warning instructions
WARNING!
- You must also observe the safety and accident prevention regulations applicable in your region, as well as legal requirements such as road traffic regulations. In case of doubt, these take precedence. If you plan to take the Qeridoo abroad, also familiarize yourself with country-specific regulations and traffic laws. Ensure that the Qeridoo is used only by persons who are suitable to operate it as defined below. Users must have read and understood this user manual in full.
- Remove all packaging materials and dispose of them in accordance with the environmental regulations applicable in your region.
- Follow all instructions under “Care and Maintenance.” Corrosion cannot be ruled out entirely. De-icing salts can cause stress corrosion cracking.
- The Baby shell is not a children's toy and must not be used as one.
DANGER!
- Before every trip, make sure that the Qeridoo and the Baby shell are in proper, technically perfect condition. Perform a visual inspection, paying particular attention to the “Am I ready to go?” section. Also check that the side fixation is closed and the webbing is tightened.
- Keep children away during assembly. When handling moving components, take care not to pinch your hands or fingers. Before first use, check that all connections are secure.
- Do not continue using the Qeridoo or the Baby shell after an accident! Even if no external damage is visible, their protective performance may be compromised.
- Before each use, ensure that the Qeridoo unfolding mechanism is correctly engaged.
- Always ensure that your Qeridoo parking brake is engaged to prevent it from rolling away while you install the Baby shell or secure your child.
Care and storage instructions
Care
After each use:
- Clean the Baby shell.
- Check for heavy soiling and remove it as soon as possible.
After heavy soiling:
- Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of the Baby shell.
- The Baby shell has a removable cover. The cover can be cleaned using a delicate or hand-wash cycle at a maximum of 30° C. Release the clips from the edge of the Baby shell. The cover can then be removed easily.
- Wash the headrest by hand only, as the washing machine may damage the fine hooks of the hook-and-loop fastener.
- Wipe the shell and the entire cover dry.
When not in use:
- Store the Baby shell only in locations with a storage temperature between -23 °C and a maximum of 65 °C.
- Store the Baby shell only when dry.
- The storage location should be dry, well ventilated, and protected from direct sunlight.
- Kidgoo and Sportrex models can be folded with the Baby shell installed.
Maintenance
Monthly (or every 200 km):
- Check the textile cover, webbing, connecting elements, seats, and safety harnesses for tears, wear, and missing parts.
- Check the entire Baby shell and all connectors and mounting components for signs of wear and damage.
Every six months (or every 500 km):
- Thoroughly clean the Baby shell.
