Safety and warning instructions
WARNING!
- The safety and accident prevention regulations applicable in your region, as well as legal regulations such as the Straßenverkehrsordnung (StVO, German Road Traffic Act), must additionally be observed and take precedence in case of doubt. Also inform yourself about country-specific regulations and traffic rules if you wish to take the Qeridoo on trips abroad. Ensure that the Qeridoo is only used by persons who, as defined below, are suitable for operating it. Users must have read and fully understood the present user manual.
- Packaging materials and protective caps must be removed and disposed of in accordance with the environmental guidelines applicable in your region.
- The recommended tightening torques can be found at the following link:
qeridoo.de/go/drehmomente - All information on "Care & Maintenance" must be observed. Corrosion cannot be entirely excluded. Road salt can lead to stress corrosion cracking.
- Signs of wear may occur at the connection point between the bicycle frame and the coupler. This does not constitute grounds for a complaint. Do not use tools that have previously come into contact with conventional steel. Tiny steel particles could lead to contact corrosion.
- The Qeridoo is not a children's toy and must not be misused as such. Accordingly, it is not permitted to attach the Qeridoo to a children's bicycle.
- For operation of the rear light, please observe the accompanying information provided by the manufacturer.
DANGER!
- Before each use, ensure that the folding mechanism has clicked into place correctly. Also wrap the safety strap of the tow bar around the tow bar so that it does not hang down in the ready position and cannot catch on or drag against obstacles.
- Before every ride, check that the Qeridoo is in proper and technically perfect condition. Carry out a visual inspection and pay particular attention to the section "Am I ready to go?". Also check that the side fixation is closed and the webbing straps on the rear of the seat are tightened.
- Keep children away from the Qeridoo during assembly. When handling moving components, take care not to trap your hands and fingers. Before first use, check all screw and cotter pin connections for secure fit.
- Always ensure that the safety strap is secured before using the Qeridoo in trailer mode. Additionally, ensure that it cannot get into any moving parts of the towing bicycle.
- Do not use a washer or similar at the connection point between the bicycle frame and the coupler, as this can impair the stability of the connection.
- The Qeridoo must not be used after an accident! Even if no external damage is visible, the protective function may be impaired.
- Always ensure that the parking brake foot lever clicks audibly into place when engaged. If it does not engage fully, the wheels are not securely locked and the Qeridoo may roll away.
