Safety and warning instructions
WARNING!
- You must also observe the safety and accident prevention regulations applicable in your region, as well as legal provisions such as the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO); in cases of doubt, these take precedence. If you want to take the Qeridoo on trips abroad, also familiarize yourself with country-specific regulations and traffic rules. Make sure the Qeridoo is only used by people who are qualified to operate it as defined below. Users must have read and understood this user manual in full.
- Remove packaging materials and protective caps and dispose of them according to the environmental guidelines applicable in your region.
- You can find the recommended tightening torques at the following link: qeridoo.de/go/drehmomente
- Follow all instructions on "Care & Maintenance." Corrosion cannot be completely ruled out. De-icing salts can cause stress corrosion cracking.
- Never leave your child unattended. Do not let your child play with the product. The Qeridoo is not a children's toy and must not be misused as one. Attaching the Qeridoo to a child's bicycle is therefore not permitted.
- Keep children away from the Qeridoo during assembly. When handling moving components, take care not to pinch your hands or fingers. Before first use, check that all screw connections and split-pin connections are secure. To avoid injury, make sure your child is out of reach when unfolding and folding the Qeridoo.
- This seat unit is not suitable for children under 6 months. Always use the restraint system.
- This product is not suitable for jogging or skating without a jogger wheel. The included 14'' jogger wheel enables skating & jogging. Jogger mode and skater mode are not covered by the stroller certification.
- Always make sure the parking brake is engaged when placing your child in the trailer or taking them out. Any loads attached to the push handle and/or the back of the backrest and/or the sides affect the stability of the Qeridoo.
- Only install and use original accessories and spare parts manufactured or recommended by Qeridoo. The use of other products excludes liability.
- Wear may occur at the connection between the bicycle frame and the coupler. This does not constitute grounds for a claim. Do not use tools that have previously come into contact with conventional steel. Even tiny steel particles could cause contact corrosion.
- Follow the enclosed manufacturer's information when operating the rear light.
- Before use, make sure the brake works properly. Even if you follow the correct assembly procedure, the disc brake may start rubbing. Readjust the brake calipers or ask your trusted qualified workshop for help.
DANGER!
- Before every use, make sure all locking mechanisms are engaged. Also wrap the safety strap of the tow bar around the tow bar so that it does not hang down in the ready position and cannot catch on obstacles or drag.
- Only one child may be transported in the Kidgoo 1 Pro (one-seater), and a maximum of two children in the Kidgoo 2 Pro (two-seater). They must be secured with the harness system and wear suitable clothing and a bicycle helmet. Ensure balanced load distribution.
- Do not continue using the Qeridoo after an accident! Even if no damage is visible on the outside, its protective function may be compromised.
- Before every ride, make sure the Qeridoo is in proper and technically perfect condition. Carry out a visual inspection and pay particular attention to the "Am I ready to go?" section. Also check that the side fixation is closed and the webbing on the back of the seat is tightened.
- Always make sure the safety strap is attached before using the Qeridoo in trailer mode. Also make sure it cannot get caught in moving parts of the towing bicycle.
- Do not use a washer or similar item at the connection between the bicycle frame and the coupler, as this can impair the stability of the connection.
- Always make sure the parking brake foot lever audibly clicks into place when you engage it. If it does not fully engage, the wheels are not securely locked and the Qeridoo may roll away.
