Safety and warning instructions
WARNING!
- The safety and accident prevention regulations applicable in your region, as well as legal regulations such as the Straßenverkehrsordnung (StVO – German Road Traffic Code), must also be observed and, in case of doubt, take priority. Also inform yourself about country-specific regulations and traffic rules if you would like to take the Qeridoo on trips abroad. Make sure that the Qeridoo is only used by persons who, as defined below, are suitable to operate it. Users must have read and understood this user manual in full.
- Packaging materials and protective caps must be removed and disposed of in accordance with the environmental guidelines applicable in your region.
- The recommended tightening torques can be found at the following link: qeridoo.de/go/drehmomente
- All information on "Care & Maintenance" must be observed. Corrosion cannot be entirely ruled out. De-icing salts can lead to stress corrosion cracking.
- Never leave your child unattended. Do not let your child play with the product. The Qeridoo is not a toy and must not be misused as such. Accordingly, it is not permitted to attach the Qeridoo to a children's bike.
- Keep children away from the Qeridoo during assembly. When handling moving parts, take care not to pinch your hands and fingers. Before first use, check all screw and pin connections for a tight fit. Make sure your child is out of reach when folding the Qeridoo open and closed, in order to avoid injuries.
- This seating unit is not suitable for children under 6 months. Always use the restraint system.
- This product is not suitable for jogging or skating without a jogger wheel. The supplied 14'' jogger wheel makes skating & jogging possible. The jogger and skater modes are not included in the scope of the stroller certification.
- Always make sure the parking brake is engaged when placing your child in and taking your child out. Any loads attached to the handlebar and/or to the back of the backrest and/or to the sides impair the stability of the Qeridoo.
- Only install and use original accessories and spare parts manufactured or recommended by Qeridoo. The use of other products will lead to exclusion of liability.
- Signs of wear may appear at the connection point between the bike frame and the coupler. This does not constitute grounds for complaint. Do not use any tool that has previously come into contact with conventional steel. The smallest steel particles could lead to contact corrosion.
- For operation of the back light, the enclosed information from the manufacturer must be observed.
- Before use, make sure the brake is working properly. Despite a correct assembly procedure, the disc brake may start to rub. Readjust the brake calipers or have your trusted bike workshop help you.
DANGER!
- Before each use, make sure that all locks are engaged. Also wrap the safety strap of the tow bar around the tow bar so that in the ready position it does not hang down and cannot get caught on or drag across obstacles.
- Only one child may be transported in the one-seater and a maximum of two children in the two-seater. They must be secured with the harness system and wear suitable clothing as well as a bicycle helmet. Even load distribution must be ensured.
- The Qeridoo must not be used any further after an accident! Even if no damage is visible from the outside, the protective effect may be impaired.
- Before every ride, satisfy yourself that the Qeridoo is in proper and technically perfect condition. Carry out a visual inspection and pay particular attention to the "Ready to go?" section. Also check that the side fixation is closed and that the straps on the back of the seat are tightened.
- Always make sure that the safety strap is attached before using the Qeridoo in trailer mode. Additionally, take care that it cannot get into moving parts of the towing bike.
- Do not use a washer or similar at the connection point between the bike frame and the coupler, as this can impair the stability of the connection.
- Always make sure the foot parking brake audibly engages when it is operated. If it does not fully engage, the wheels are not securely locked and the Qeridoo can roll away.
