Frequently asked questions

How good are Qeridoo bicycle trailers?

Qeridoo bicycle trailers offer many safety and comfort features at an attractive price. They are rated best value for money in many test reports and stand out in particular thanks to their innovative head protectors, the adaptive restraint system and the leaf-spring damping system. With the buggy wheel, the bicycle trailers can be converted to Buggy Mode in seconds.

Qeridoo offers high-quality children's bicycle trailers, cargo trailers and dog trailers. These are complemented by an extensive range of accessories.

Qeridoo bicycle trailers stand out above all for their outstanding value for money. Our children's bicycle trailers combine high safety standards with well thought-out comfort features for everyday use, and all that at an attractive price. Use your children's bicycle trailer as a stroller or, with the Cargo insert plate, as a cargo trailer.

Thanks to the leaf-spring damping system, the 5-point safety harness, the sturdy frame construction and the patented side impact protection, every ride stays comfortable and safe.

The backrest of Qeridoo bicycle trailers cannot be adjusted into a lying position, but at around 125 degrees it sits at a comfortable angle. In an upright position your child sits securely and is well protected at all times by the trailer's aluminum frame.

For babies and toddlers we offer a Baby shell or Hammock in which your child can lie comfortably in the Qeridoo children's bicycle trailer. These can be used until the child can sit up unaided, which is usually the case at an age of about 12 to 14 months or up to a body weight of about 12 or 13 kg respectively.

With the right baby insert, babies can ride in the Qeridoo bicycle trailer from the fourth week of life. For newborns from the fourth week we recommend the matching Baby shell, and for toddlers up to 13 kg the Hammock.

As a general rule: transporting a child without a baby insert is only safe once it can control and hold its head steadily. Many pediatricians recommend a minimum age of about 6 months for this.

Qeridoo children's bicycle trailers are generally suitable up to an age of about 4 to 5 years or 18 to 22 kg body weight (depending on the model). That is considerably longer than most conventional strollers or buggies. Because the trailer grows with the child, it is the more durable investment by direct comparison.

Qeridoo bicycle trailers are not completely waterproof, they are water-repellent. For production reasons it cannot be guaranteed that every opening is sealed watertight. For longer rides in the rain we recommend using a suitable rain cover, available in our accessories catalog. You can also impregnate the fabric of your Qeridoo trailer so that it repels water better.

Qeridoo expressly recommends that children wear a helmet in the bicycle trailer as soon as they can sit up unaided. Even though there is no legal helmet requirement for children in bicycle trailers, it provides important additional protection for the head in the event of an accident.

Our development, design and service departments are located at our headquarters in Germany. As for production, like most of our competitors we have our bicycle trailers manufactured in China.

Our aim is to avoid unnecessary costs and to keep prices fair. One of the ways we achieve this is the structural set-up of our production facilities in China, where most components are made in-house "under one roof". This eliminates unnecessary transport routes and the cost of bought-in parts.
