You want to have your baby always with you and discover the world with them? We understand only too well! The Qeridoo infant carrier is a combination of a classic hammock and a car-seat shell that can be used from the 4th week of life until independent sitting.

Even your newborn is safe, stable and comfortable in your Qeridoo child bicycle trailer and experiences their first adventures most safely together with you.

As always, two things were particularly important to the Qeridoo development team: maximum safety and optimal lying comfort for the smallest. The infant carrier achieves this through the ergonomic, back-friendly position and thanks to the soft padding of the safety shell.

The floating mounting provides an additional spring effect and ensures that your baby can sleep gently and safely while you are on the road together. The padded 5-point harness can be individually adjusted to the size of your baby and protects optimally during transport.

The height-adjustable headrest has been optimized and now consists of a new, even softer material; the well thought-out side impact protection particularly secures the sensitive head and trunk area. In addition, the Qeridoo infant carrier gets new fabrics, matching the current child sport stroller collection.

Hammock Plus

It has never been as good (and big) as today: The hammock Plus is the Qeridoo premium product for the safe transport of babies. It stands out above all for its extended useful life, being suitable from the 4th week of life until independent sitting with up to 13 kg of body weight.

The hammock Plus, which is also suitable for bigger little ones and additionally has an extra soft and breathable headrest, was specially optimized for baby transport. It thus offers more comfort and protection for the sensitive head and neck area.

The hammock Plus also offers, with its aluminum safety frame, in contrast to conventional hammocks, a stable side protection made of firm, padded material. For a particularly back-friendly position and an almost floating transport in the bicycle trailer, the ergonomic construction and the comfortable lying surface with breathable backrest are responsible. A 5-point safety harness with smart-lock function protects your child at all times.

The hammock Plus can be used in single- and double-seaters. Please note that only one hammock Plus fits in a double-seater. If two babies are to be transported at the same time, we recommend in this special case the use of two Qeridoo infant carriers.

The most beautiful memories are always those of shared experiences, right? So take your baby along, on calm rides that you both enjoy.

Don't ride too fast, let the ride sink in and discover the world together with little breaks. Especially the first trips are exciting for everyone. Don't overdo it and slowly get used to shared outdoor experiences. After all, your baby experiences everything for the first time. The little ones often nod off shortly into the ride, so make sure the paths are not too bumpy at the beginning. If you also add a comforter or cuddle blanket, your little one will feel even more at home in your Qeridoo.

Which options are available for safely transporting a baby in a bicycle trailer?

Qeridoo offers two solutions developed specifically for transporting babies: the Baby shell and the Hammock Plus. Both can be used from the fourth week of life until the child can sit up unaided — the Baby shell up to 12 kg, the Hammock Plus up to 13 kg — and both are approved for use in Buggy Mode and in trailer mode. The conditions for safe use apply: use only in the Qeridoo Childrens bicycle trailers intended for this purpose, a maximum speed of 15 km/h and no more than 6 km/h on bends, curbs only at walking pace, and paved paths only. The full conditions are provided in the user manual for the respective baby insert.

Yes. The Qeridoo Baby shell and the Hammock Plus are approved for bike mode (trailer mode), provided the conditions for safe use are observed: use only in the Qeridoo Childrens bicycle trailers intended for this purpose; age of the child from four weeks until the child can sit up unaided; maximum body weight 12 kg for the Baby shell and 13 kg for the Hammock Plus; maximum speed 15 km/h and no more than 6 km/h on bends; curbs and comparable obstacles only at walking pace of no more than 6 km/h; paved paths only; the baby always secured with the safety harness, including when stationary, and the Headrest in use.

Thanks to the ergonomic construction, the padded safety shell of the Baby shell or the aluminium safety frame of the Hammock Plus, and the extended side impact protection, the baby remains stable and protected while riding. The full safety instructions are provided in the user manual.

Technically it is possible to install two baby inserts, but fitting them takes a fair amount of time. Because the baby inserts have to be placed directly next to each other, some comfort is lost as well.

Very well thought out: both the Baby shell and the Hammock Plus were developed for a back-friendly, ergonomic posture and have been tested and certified by the Institute for Health and Ergonomics (IGR e.V.). The soft, breathable padding provides optimal lying comfort, especially when the hammock is fully unfolded.

For the first tours it is best to ease into it gradually: choose paths that are as level as possible, do not ride too fast and plan short distances. A familiar comfort cloth or a cuddly blanket adds to the sense of wellbeing. Many babies fall asleep quickly during the ride – the gentle motion has a calming effect.

As long as the baby is still lying in the Baby shell or hammock and cannot sit up unaided, a helmet is not yet required. As soon as the child sits upright and uses the trailer without a lying insert, wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.

As soon as the child can sit up unaided, switching to the Qeridoo Seat reducer is recommended. It gives toddlers up to around 18 months additional stability and support in the seat before they can use the trailer's full seat.

As soon as the child can sit upright unaided – usually from around 9 to 12 months – riding without a baby insert is possible. For more petite children who can already sit but still need a little more support, the Qeridoo Seat reducer is a good interim solution.

Both inserts for baby transport can be used from the fourth week of life. The Baby shell, with its rigid ABS safety shell and sturdy side protection, is particularly suitable for newborns who still need a lot of support. The hammock can be used from the same age, but its soft suspension and larger lying surface allow more freedom of movement – ideal for livelier or older babies.

Qeridoo Childrens bicycle trailers can generally be used up to an age of around 4 to 5 years. The exact maximum depends on the permissible total weight of the respective model. Thanks to the various accessory options – from the Baby shell to the regular seat – the trailer grows with the child over many years. With the Cargo insert plate it can be used as a cargo trailer once the children have outgrown it.
